Orange Peel Chemical Composition
Orange Peel contains volatile oil 1.5% (pressing method) to 2% (distillation method), the main component of the oil is D-limonene, and also contains β-myrcene α- and β-pinene (pinene), etc.
It also contains flavonoids hesperidin, neohesperidin, tangeretin, 5,6,7,8,4'-pentamethoxyflavone, citromitin,5 , 6,7,8,3',4'-hexamethoxyflavanone) and 5-O-desmethyl-citromitin.
